Loyalty
The dictionary says that loyalty means:
loy·al·ty ( P ) Pronunciation Key (loil-t)n. pl. loy·al·ties
The state or quality of being loyal. See Synonyms at fidelity.
A feeling or attitude of devoted attachment and affection. Often used in the plural: My loyalties lie with my family.
So what does it mean to be loyal then?
"Devoted attachment and affection" is an awesome way to describe it. You care a great deal about the person/place/thing that you are devoted to... loyal.
Loyalty to me, means that you want the best for that person/place/thing, and you'll do what it takes to make that happen, even if things dont work out the way you want them to be for you.
Loyalty means that you dont give up or turn on them when you are disappointed or hurt.
Loyalty means that your love and affection doesnt stop if a bad choice was made.
Loyalty means being kind and generous and forgiving.
To me, that's what loyalty is... at least to me.
